Outdoors
The beautiful weather around Austin make it a great place to enjoy the outdoors. The Highland Lakes in the Hill Country offer boating and other watersports. If you prefer dry land, there is Lady Bird Lake Hike and Bike Trail, and plenty of other places for hiking, biking, camping, and rock climbing.
The diverse terrain in central Texas also provides excellent training grounds for anyone who is preparing for a marathon or triathlon. There are numerous events that occur in Austin during the year including the AT&T Marathon and Half-Marathon, the 3M Half-Marathon and Relay, and the Danskin Triathlon.
